Neurodiversity information
Recognising how strange and overstimulating churches can be at times, we have worked with Autism Circle of Support and created a dedicated Calm Space at the rear of our church Sanctuary for our Sunday services.
The lighting level is set lower than in the rest of the church and there is a box of sensory aids to use, including ear defenders.
Please use this space as much as you need to.
We are working on a visual guide to the order of service to help people who like a clear guide to what is coming next.
All of our hymns and readings are shown on the screens in the church and we use white text on a blue background to help those who are dyslexic. We have a few paper versions of the hymns available, please ask our stewards if you’d like one.
The church uses Calibri wherever possible as our font for clarity and ease of reading.
